An important resource for residents in the Houston, Texas area to take advantage when it comes to Medical Devices malfunctioning is what is known as the Drugs and Medical Devices Group of the Texas Department of State Health Services, Division for Regulatory Services, Environmental and Consumer Safety Section.  The mission of the Medical Devices Group is to protect citizens of Houston, and Texas more generally, from adulterated, misbranded, and otherwise unsafe drugs, medical devices, cosmetics, indoor tanning practices, and tattoo and body piercing procedures.  The group has accomplished this goal through effective enforcement of the Texas drug, medical device, tanning, tattoo, and body piercing laws and regulations, but also by providing information services to the general public with regard to these devices.  The Texas Drugs and Medical Devices Group can be reached a the following:
